Adrenalin Forest

On the last day of EOTC week 29th 2018, the year 8 group went to Spencer Park/Adrenalin Forest, when we got there we where split into 2 groups group 1 and group 2, group 2 got to go to Spencer Park first and group 1 got to climb the trees in Adrenalin Forest.

One way I showed my CARR values is by achieving half of level four because we had to go, and saying please and thanks to the staff member's, cheering on my friends to get to the end of level 2 so they can be more confident and move on to level 3 or 3b.

My favourite part when we was at Adrenalin Forest was cheering on my friends so they didn't get nervous or want help to get down, and when we got there was my favourite part aswell because I got to be with my friends in group 1.

Making Hokey Pokey Favourite memory in YEAR 8

Hokey Pokey

In our science class, about a week or later ago we made hokey pokey with three ingredients which is, sugar, corn syrup and baking soda to make it hard and puffy. Most of us got to do it because we where there on that day, some people was not.

When we made the food or sweet we had to use pots, table spoons and Bunsen burner's which is a candle, except it's metal and it need's gas to start it. We used a tripod as well, its a triangle with three legs, and it goes above the Bunsen burner. The method to make the Hokey Pokey is, put the gas pipe from the Bunsen burner onto or into the gas bottle or gas tap, (that's what we used) turn the gas on, light the Bunsen burner with a lighter or match, put the corn syrup and sugar into the pot, stir it for 2 mins, put the baking soda in the pot when

Spencer park.

I have a budget of $50, to plan a day trip to/around Spencer Park for your whānau. Think about what activities you might do (including activities around Spencer Park) and how much it will cost. You must make a schedule of the day and show what activity you do and how long you are going to spend doing it. You also need to include a picnic lunch (this cost must come from your $50).

cyber smart, Canada

Ottawa, is the capital city of Canada. It stands on the south bank of the Ottawa River in the eastern portion of southern Ontario. Ottawa borders Gatineau, Quebec; the two form the core of the Ottawa–Gatineau census metropolitan area and the National Capital Region. As of 2016, Ottawa had a city population of 964,743 and a metropolitan population of 1,323,783 making it the fourth-largest city and the fifth-largest CMA in Canada.
Founded in 1826 as Bytown, and incorporated as Ottawa in 1855, the city has evolved into the political centre of Canada. Its original boundaries were expanded through numerous annexations and were ultimately replaced by a new city incorporation and amalgamation in 2001 which significantly increased its land area. The city name "Ottawa" was chosen in reference to the Ottawa River, the name of which is derived from the Algonquin Odawa, meaning "to trade".
Ottawa has the most educated population among Canadian cities and is home to a number of post-secondary, research, and cultural institutions, including the National Arts Centre, the National Gallery, and numerous national museums. Ottawa has the highest standard of living in the nation and low unemployment. The current population in Canada is 36.95 million
