Passion Projects REFLECT

The Passion Project I choose was Digital world with Mr Cater and Mr Stokes and we made the AR sandbox or Augmented Reality sandbox. I learned that technology doesn't always tern out what you want to, for example when we finished the AR sandbox the app we downloaded didn't work out as we thought it would. The part I enjoyed the most is when we finally finished the project because I waned to see the outcome. I didn't like how the app just shut down on us when we needed it the most, some of the kids was just playing with the sand. Next time I would choose wearable arts or maths craft because you can do origami. Overall I thought that it was not bad because I made new friends.

One word to describe how you felt before camp. I felt a mixture of feeling because I haven't  been to a marae before and I have been to the Omaka lake or camp.

One word to describe how you now feel  after camp. I felt I finished because I had done all the activity's  that our group had to do.

What activity did you like the most. The activity I like most was the Omaka Scout Camp because I got bitten by an eel on the finger.

What was something you did not enjoy. I didn't enjoy the museum because we had to sit around on the floor listening to the lady who 

Passion Projects

Our sandbox is under construction and we are trying to make it look it like this. We have finished half  of our table. My experience about this is that we have to write notes on whats we have done and whats need working on. This activity has been a bit boring when we hit road blocks but it has been alright since I have been here. I would it do it next time if I got the chance.






The resulting augmented reality (AR) sandbox allows users to create topography models by shaping real sand, which is then augmented in real time by an elevation colour map, topographic contour lines, and simulated water.  link to how to build the AR sandbox
